Amazon’s Alexa can now help you with Destiny 2

One step closer to Joi from Blade Runner A friend of mine picked up Amazon Alexa recently. She controls the lights in his home, she also knew that Robert De Niro was 74 years old. Unfortunately, she had never heard of The Industry’s Chris Moyse, so I guess the technology isn’tquitethere yet. Not only can Alexa crush your lofty dreams of internet fame, or help you with petty trivia arguments, she can also help you out with Bungie’s sci-fi shooter,Destiny 2, courtesy of a new “Ghost Skill” app, which has been made available for download to the pseudo-buddy....

Anyone could make Disc Room, but only the creators of Minit ever would

The world’s first ‘Sawtroid’ Disc Roomwas one of my favorite games of PAX East 2020. That’s high praise considering that two newShovel Knighttitles, the laughably sexyFinal Fantasy 7remake, the return of one of Hideki Kamiya’s greatest games, and the one and onlyAnimal Crossing: New Horizonswere just a few of the things I played over the course of the show. My low expectations definitely helpedDisc Roomto shock me. When I first saw the game I thought “This looks like one of the harder levels inSuper Meat Boyexcept it’s top down, and it’s the whole game....

Birthdays the Beginning is my kind of life sim

Cue the Jurassic Park theme I can appreciate that this game,Birthdays the Beginning, won’t be for everyone. But as someone totally enamored with ecological simulations in which you watch over living organisms with a careful eye and raise the ecosystem into something more, something greater, I amstoked. It’s the type of video game design I daydream about and one I’m always hoping to see done right. How do you build an environment suitable for snakes, monkeys, bears, dinosaurs, primitive humans, and a whole mess of other critters?...
