Final Fantasy XV could be set in Tokyo, Japan

Look! Look in the background of the newly releasedFinal Fantasy XVgameplay trailer that Square Enix released this morning. The foreground of these shots looks like some kind of fantasy world, but the background looks a lot like my hometown, Tokyo. Shinjuku, specifically. Maybe it’s not Shinjuku, but there’s definitely a dual city thing going on. It’s like they’re in the future where a new world has been built on top of an existing one....

Final Fantasy XV PS4 Pro update coming in February, neat Exosuit DLC delayed

No No Power Rangers Square-Enix detailed some of their upcoming content forFinal Fantasy XVduring an Active Time Report live stream and, along with some of usual tidbits such as release dates, something really stuck out to me. Along with this,Final Fantasy XVwill be getting limited time quests, a raised level cap (now 120 instead of 99, but experience points won’t count toward it until after the update), an increased photo capacity, and you’ll be able to use the music player while riding a Chocobo....

GameStop looks into crystal ball, sees price cuts

Sony can deny and deny all they want, but no one is ever going to believe that they won’t be cutting the price of the PS3 some time this year. Speaking during a conference call to investors, CEO Daniel DeMatteo revealed the company’s forecast of 33....

Germany now prohibits pre-orders for products that don’t have firm release dates

A stark departure from how things are done now The video game pre-ordering process just got a little tougher in Germany. It’s mostly an innocuous system, as the customers don’t get charged until the game ships. Still, Germany is cracking down on this status quo. The Higher Regional Court of Munich has recently ruled that retailers can’t list products for sale with generic phrases like “coming soon” or “this item has not yet released....
