Ubisoft announces Assassin’s Creed Identity

A new mobile game Ubisoft is bringing out anotherAssassin’s Creedgame specifically for iOS. It’ll arrive on February 25, and will bring us back to the “fan-favorite” (or as some might say, “overused”) time period of the Italian Renaissance. It’ll feature a progression-based experience system like past games, but will also introduce classes (Berserker, Shadow Blade, Trickster, and Thief), as well as a host of control options, including a gamepad. More details are coming on February 3....

Ubisoft used the Watch Dogs delay to add new content

Maybe the Wii U version will have a ton of new stuff Remember howWatch Dogsdidn’t launch alongside the new consoles like it was supposed to? Nah, you’ve probably forgotten by now. Anyway, it looks like something good’s going to come out of that delay apart from, you know, making sure the game works. It seems like the developers took the postponement as an opportunity to add some extra content to the game....

Uncharted 4 video extols the power of the PS4

Oh right, it’s Naughty Dog’s first ground-up PS4 game I have to admit I was pretty jazzed about technical poweringUncharted: Drake’s Fortuneleading up to its PlayStation 3 release. Little details from water physics (and Drake’s varying levels of dampness when submerged) to loads of variable cover animations helpedUnchartedcome alive and sell what was basicallyTomb Raider, a long scuttled franchise (that, ironically,Uncharted‘s success must have had a hand in rebooting). So copping this second part behind the scenes video ofUncharted 4: A Thief’s Endis a good bit of fun....

Watch Dogs 2 is out in November, San Francisco setting confirmed

Also the rumored new protagonist is seemingly in The ad claims thatWatch Dogs 2will be out on November 15 of this year, which beats out the “April 2017” estimate that was previously known. It’ll also take place in San Francisco — at least, the ad shows the Golden Gate Bridge as clear as day, along with the rumored new, not-Aiden Pearce hero. There will be no newAssassin’s Creedthis year, so it makes sense for another open world game to fill that gap....

Will IOI’s Project 007 allow us to create our own custom Bond?

Pay Attention, 007 I’ve always been a big fan of the exploits of the world’s “most famous secret agent” – James Bond. I havemanyfond childhood memories of eagerly devouring MGM’s pantheon of movies, being captivated by the vehicles, locations, gadgets, music, and utterly ridiculous villains that have featured throughout the iconic movie franchise. Of course, as the years have passed and my critical eye has blossomed, I’ve come more to terms with the fact that Bond movies generally should be viewed within the “Bond Filter....

‘Dreamcast Collection’ listed at GameStop

GameStop has listed a curious new title known only as theDreamcast Collection. Priced at $29.99, no other details are yet to be revealed, but I’d advise against getting too excited yet. The most likely speculation is that this won’t be an exciting compilation of rare Dreamcast games, but rather it’ll be a collection of the games already announced for XBLA/PSN —Sonic Adventure, Crazy Taxi, Space Channel 5 Part 2andSega Bass Fishing....

7,000 Post-It Notes used to make this Mario stop-motion

Pixels = square = Post-It Notes. We’ve seen 8-bit game art blown up in static form via sticky notes before, but it’s way more interesting when they’re used for stop-motion animation. YouTuberFinalCutKingshared with us his latest creation today, seen above. He says that some 7,000 sticky squares were used around this room to bring a new kind of paper Mario to life. The video only lasts 1.5 minutes, but I’m sure it took many hours of patient photography to make it....
